Thousand Islands KUA Applies Strict Health Protocols for Marriage Ceremony

Thousand Islands Regency Religious Affairs Office (KUA) strictly implements health protocols for brides who want to conduct marriage contract or marriage ceremony (akad nikah) at the KUA office.

The bride, groom, and their families must comply with health protocols

Thousand Islands Regency's Religion Ministry Administration Sub-division Head, Saifudin said, there were limitation on number of witnesses and marriage guardians for brides who conduct marriage ceremony at the office to anticipate COVID-19 transmission.

"The bride, groom, and their families must comply with health protocols," he asserted, Tuesday (9/15).

West Jakarta Forms a Team to Optimize PSBB Monitoring

He explained that during the pandemic, the bride, groom, and their families should wear gloves, masks, provide hand sanitizer, and limit the number of people who present at the marriage ceremony to maximum 5 people.

"It is for everyone's health and safety," he asserted.
